How Yellow Edge works.
Condition-adjusted clearing prices, built on European transaction data.
Cleared transaction data
Yellow Edge is built on actual hammer prices from European industrial auction archives — not asking prices, not estimated values. Every data point represents a real machine that changed hands at a real price.
Condition classification
Physical degradation is the single biggest variable that standard valuation tools ignore. Yellow Edge uses a four-band condition classification system — from Category I (Excellent) to Category IV (Critical) — to adjust every valuation for the machine's actual physical state, not just its age and hours.
Macro signals
Regional infrastructure spend, cross-border trade volumes, and macroeconomic deflators are layered into the model. A machine in a region with €45B of infrastructure backlog clears differently to the same machine in a market with no pipeline. Yellow Edge accounts for that.
Independent output
No auction house affiliation. No commercial interest in the transaction outcome. A condition-adjusted clearing range you can defend to a credit committee, a client, or a counterparty.
